emily + brian // catalina view gardens wedding

I met with Emily a couple times leading up to the wedding and she would share with me little bits and pieces of how it was coming together – she would describe the romantic venue, the flowy bridesmaids’ dresses, the reception details. In my mind I conjured up the prettiest day, but I was still so in awe when I saw just how beautifully everything came together! I grew up just a few skips away from Palos Verdes and photograph there often, but since Cataliina View Gardens is relatively new, it was my first time photographing there. And to say it was stunning and now one of my most favorite places ever is an understatement! With expansive seaside views and pretty rustic details, it was such the perfect backdrop for Emily & Brian’s day.

You could feel the joy every moment of the day – from when they were getting ready, through the heartfelt ceremony, through dancing the evening away under the watercolor sky. These kinds of weddings make my hearts so full and I feel beyond blessed to have been there to document it!

{ julie + lorenzo // maravilla gardens wedding }

This wedding was just the dreamiest from beginning to end! Maravilla Gardens was the perfect intimate setting for Julie and Lorenzo’s day, and every corner of the grounds was just so beautiful. We had lots of time for portraits after their sweet first look, and we were really able to explore the gardens, stumbling upon all the prettiest spots. The details of the day were simple but elegant and one of my most favorite details of course were those ethereal bridesmaids dresses. So light and pretty!

Julie and Lorenzo are some of the kindest people I’ve met and it was a true honor to be a part of their day. A special thank you to our mutual friend Harrison at Reverie for passing my name along to them!

{ floria + roland // padua hills theatre wedding }

You know you have that friend who is just so full of kindness, that brightens every room they walk into, that greets everyone they meet with genuine warmth? Floria is that kind of friend, tenfold :) Since I first met her years ago, she’s always been such a bright light in my life and is one of the sweetest people I know. I seriously always imagined her with a wonderful guy, but felt skeptical that someone could actually parallel her in terms of her kindness and big heart. Enter Roland :) The first time I met him, I couldn’t stop thinking HOW NICE HE WAS HE’S JUST SO NICE HOW COULD SOMEBODY ACTUALLY BE SO NICE?? Not just friendly, not just pleasant, but that kind of sincere and genuine kindness. The kind that brightens every room they walk into. The kind that parallels Floria’s. Together they are just such a perfect match, and the kind of couple that makes you feel so overjoyed that they found one another.

This day was filled with so many beautiful moments and I was beyond honored to be there to document it!
