{ Heather + Rory | Orange County Wedding Photography }

I believe I uttered an audible “wow” when I first stepped out onto the ceremony site at the Charthouse Restaurant in Dana Point. The sky was bright blue, the ocean a refreshing shade of aquamarine, and stunning crimson roses adorned the sides of a perfect assembly of white chairs. The location and the weather were both to die for! It was the start of a perfect day, that waltzed us through a heartfelt ceremony and a lively reception, all the way to the Ritz Carlton, where we finished up with some photos at the bar and on the balcony of their oceanview room! Heather and Rory were both so full of joy and happiness and it was an honor to share in their amazing day! It was great getting to shoot with the ever-furious Doug and Tang again too! :)

Loved all the classic details:

Excuse me bartender?

Wrapping it up with a few shots at the Ritz:

{ Lift Off! }

I could not be more excited to share with you the launch of my new website! It’s been in the makings for awhile, first with random ideas stirring in my head, then lots of research, and finally, hours spent in front of the computer, really trying to make this website the best, most accurate representation of me and my photography. This is something that has been present in my mind from the first baby steps I was taking into my business, and the fact that it’s FINALLY HAPPENING makes me feel so happy and thankful for everything I’ve experienced along the way.  I especially want to thank all the photographers who really lent a selfless hand to me to help me learn and grow, and to all the awesome people who have been following my blog and encouraging me along the way. Thank you!

{ The Other Side }

I must dish out some credit. To my clients – you amaze me.  Not just for being hands-down awesome, loving, inspirational people, but because of what naturals you have all been in front of the camera!

Yesterday I asked Scott to take some headshots for me (for a new project I’ve been working on which will be unveiled very very soon!) and I was reminded of how different it is being on the other side of the camera. I kept yelling at Scott “make me laugh!” and then he would make a fart joke or two that would successfully leave me in stitches (I’m really quite easy to entertain) and he was able to take a couple shots before I ran out of ideas of what to do with myself again.

Just wanted to post a couple shots because the images that Scott was able to produce from my initial awkwardness reminded me of how lucky I am to have him as my second shooter. He was being so conscious of the light (which was absolutely GORGEOUS btw), the surroundings, and what he could say to make me relax. I ended up having a lot of fun and again, does the light get any yummier than this?

And while Scott was getting that above shot, I managed to get a couple of him too. Bet you didn’t see THAT one coming.

Up next – a couple awesome weddings and hopefully the big unleashing!
