{ jennifer + chris | san francisco engagement photos }

I think I was actually in San Francisco for less than 4 hours, but I feel like we explored so much. Jennifer and Chris showed me their Nob Hill neighborhood, their little backyard tucked away in the city, the route they walk together to work, their fun socks, their contagious laughs, the stories of their relationship. We finished at the Ferry Buildling at Gotts, an eatery I have since added to my “favorites in SF” list, where we shared chatted over the best ahi burgers and sweet potato fries.

It was a short trip, but I feel like I got to know Jennifer and Chris so well – that they’re funny and down-to-earth and adventurous and totally my kind of people :) I can’t wait to see them again this fall {and work with So Happi Together too! double bonus!}

{ stephanie + bruce | casa real wedding photography }

I knew Stephanie and Bruce would be amazing to work with from our initial Skype meeting, which was basically filled with laughter from beginning to end. This was reinforced when I flew to nor cal for their engagement session {they are huge foodies and picked the ultimate foodie location… coming to the blog soon!} and of course on their wedding day, which was packed with beautiful emotion. One of my favorite moments was during the ceremony when letters that Steph and Bruce had written to their parents were read aloud. Both families have experienced health-related hardships in the recent years, and for their parents to be present there to celebrate with them was so so special and meaningful.

I almost can’t even being to express how thankful and blessed I feel to have been a part of their wedding day, and the journey leading up to it. As Steph and Bruce had also sweetly expressed in a note they slipped to me at the end of the wedding, I feel like I’ve gained not just wonderful past clients, but wonderful friends along the way :)

{ xinlei + matt | monterey engagement photography }

It was super windy that day and frigid cold, but upon seconds of meeting Xinlei and Matt {we had previously “met” via only Skype, oh technology!}, I knew they were the type of people to let go and have fun in almost any kind of situation. They seriously were in amazing spirits the entire shoot and embraced the sunny side of it all – that the wind lent beautiful movement to the photos, that the cold made them snuggle that much closer :) I had so much fun with them both and was a little sad when it came time for them to drop me back off at the airport, although they did send me off with a cupcake! Did I ever tell you about that one time, where I always get to work with the coolest couples ever? True story.
