A lovely sunny afternoon in Palos Verdes, spent with this super fun couple! I always hope to capture a few different emotions during a session, because love has many different forms yes? The overjoyed, the animated, the serene, the silly, the quiet, the intense. Casey and Heather picked up on every vibe, and rocked every single one of them.
Very excited for their intimate (read: less than 20 people!) wedding in just a few weeks!

I love intimate, cozy, charming weddings like these. It helps to have a lovely little venue {the French Estate steals my heart every time!} but so much of it is in the subtle details – a set of “LOVE” keys gifted to Elisa by her sister, tea canisters as vases, scattered literary favorites, a display of childhood photos – everything homey, thoughful, and meaningful to Elisa and Andrew. Some sweet additions – in lieu of a cake they had a churro bar (with ice cream!), and they lovingly handcrafted heart-shaped rice krispy treats one by one, as a favor for each of their guests.
And the joy! Can you feel the joy? It was all around :)
A special thank you to William Kim for shooting with me, and Uyen of Sassy Girl Weddings for being beyond awesome as always and making our jobs so so easy. Seriously that girl has the magic touch, every wedding she coordinates flows beautifully without a hitch!

Another fun session in downtown LA!
I feel like everytime I step into downtown there’s a new little nook to explore and a little more buzz and vibrancy to the city – it’s constantly changing and I love it! I have a friend who recently purchased a shiny new loft in the heart of downtown, and on a recent visit, he explained of possible light rail installations, the restoration of Broadway & all the theaters that line it, all the new restaurants and bars that are popping up – it makes me super excited to think that one day our little downtown may join the ranks of other bustling city centers (SF? Chicago? NYC?) and be the cool place to hang :)
On that note, downtown was such a perfect spot for Jackie & Glen’s session! :) I love their nod towards pretty vintage style and how they subtly brought that into the session. As we strolled through Angel’s Knoll Park {insert squeals about 500 Days of Summer & JGL! JGL! here}, they described their love of all things vintage and how they go antique store-hopping on the weekends. So sweet!
