{ christina + morgan // holiday session }

Tis the season for one of the cutest holiday sessions I ever did see! Christina & Morgan wanted something unique for their holiday portraits that reflected their style & personalities, and the result was stacks of sparkly presents, silver garland, Anthropologie ornaments, Bando accessories, sparklers, pink smoke bombs (!) and tons of fake snow! We photographed it all in front of this perfect pink wall and had oodles of fun.

Hope this adds a little holiday cheer into your day! :)

{ portraits // mato family }

Seriously one of the happiest little families I ever did see! I was so excited when Peggy contacted me to take their family portraits, especially since they would all be donning beautiful kimonos and hakamas. The dressing up was also partially in celebration for the kids’ shichi-go-san celebration, which literally translates into “seven-five-three” and is a celebration for children of that age. I remember dressing up and having photos taken for my own shichi-go-san a bajillion years ago, so it brought back sweet memories of having my hair done and sporting a kimono that was so tight I could barely breathe, but made me feel absolutely fancy and beautiful :)

Little Jenna and Jake are seriously so full of personality and happiness, and I loved photographing this beautiful family in such a beautiful setting. Would love to do more sessions like this in the future! :)

{ tara + matt // at home anniversary photos }

I was so overjoyed when Tara contacted me about setting up a session for their first anniversary. She envisioned relaxed, slice-of-life type photos at home, which are always some of my most very favorite types of photos to take. Their home is located in one of the busiest sections of LA, but is seriously like a magic little oasis in the midst of it all – I think my breath stopped when the front gate swung open and I saw the gorgeous home & garden we’d be shooting in that afternoon. They had cupcakes and champagne, they cuddled on the sofa, they giggled with their sweet {and most photogenic!} yorkie, they reminisced about their wedding and the past year, and I got to document it. That’s a wonderful afternoon :)
