{ deena + mas | los angeles engagement }

I love when sessions unfold like this – laidback, organic, real. All lifestyle-like, as if I just happened to accompany them on an evening stroll. And on this particular stroll, Deena & Mas brought along their too-adorable-for-words puppy for the first half, and a couple bottles of wine for the second :) They love visiting wineries together & sharing a bottle at the end of day and I’m happy that we could incorporate some al fresco wine tasting into their session!

Deena & Mas are seriously the sweetest, and I loved spending the afternoon with them!

I am so in love with Deena’s Anthropologie dress… reminds me of Japanese indigo patterns which are my fave…

I think these are some of my favorite portraits ever…

Wine!

A lovely hand-painted straw heart, a sweet picnic, dainty tea cups, puzzle pieces {from a puzzle they started on their very first date!}… there are quite a few words that could describe this detail-filled engagement session, but the first that comes to mind is…

EPIC.

So epic, in fact, that it had to be split into two posts, the second which I guarantee is filled with as much epic-ness as the first. I feel like I’m always being blown away by the creativity of my couples and their desire to incorporate personal & colorful tidbits into their weddings and engagement sessions – and Joann and Donald are no exception!

So excited for their amazing Langham wedding this weekend!

{ Tiffany + Jeremy | Muir Woods Engagement }

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

When I was in San Francisco for Meenah & Shaobo‘s wedding {coming to the blog soon!} I had the opportunity to meet up with Tiffany & Jeremy for a sweet engagement session in Muir Woods and the nearby beach. I had no idea that just on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge lay such beauty – I drove along in utter amazement as I crossed through the magical little town of Sausalito, alongside small bays, through rolling grassy hills, and finally, up to the gorgeous expanse of trees that makes up the woods. All week long the forecast called for an 80% chance of rain, but as it always seems to do, the weather turned in our favor and not a drop fell the entire day.

Tiffany & Jeremy booked me over email/phone, so it was so exciting to finally meet them in person! They are so sweet and perfect together and I can’t wait for their lovely norcal wedding at Fogarty Winery next summer!

Now, have I mentioned how much I LOVE shooting in the woods?
