Now despite everything your brain is telling you, these are not Anthropologie/J.Crew/UO models. They are just my fabulous clients, Sandy & Eric, who are not only ridiculously good looking, but also fun, and sweet, and putting together a beautiful wedding for this summer at the Skirball. I always love shooting around Abbot Kinney in Venice – the bright colors, cute storefronts, and artsy-hipstery-urbany vibe make it one of my fave spots to both hang out & shoot, and this time was no exception!

So loved running around Abbot Kinney with these two! I always hope to capture this type of open natural laughter during sessions – Meghan & Lee were cracking up the entire time, without me even having to throw in my usual {oh-so-hilarious} jokes. They were troopers even when the weather started doing this weird misty/sprinkly thing, and didn’t let that dampen their moods or halt the session. And as always, I loved all the colorful little nooks we found around the neighborhood!

{ Angela + Fong | Venice Engagement }

For Angela & Fong’s engagement session, we started off at the Venice canals. The canals are on the west side, practically in my backyard, and as much as I’ve always wanted to visit them, I somehow never had until their session. It’s pretty random when you stumble across them, you’re driving along, on what appears to be an ordinary road in an ordinary neighborhood, and BAM! Water where streets should be. The whole area was sunny & refreshing & quaint and I loved photographing them along the canals and the little alleyways between them. We rounded out our Venice session by heading down to Abbot Kinney for some colorful shots and finished up at the beach.

Angela & Fong are the sweetest couple {and as you’ll see below, pretty darn ridiculously good looking} – I can’t wait for their wedding at the Turnip Rose this fall!
