I always love photographing at the Pasadena City Hall and this time of year was especially perfect, with pretty flowers in bloom around every corner! Frances and Andrew are super laidback and happily went along with my every whim (“can you hold this flower?” “LET’S THROW PETALS!”) and I adore how soft and romantic this session came out. They also have the sweetest and most fun chemistry together, which just added to all the wonderful romanticky-ness of this session :)

Their wedding at the Walt Disney Concert Hall next month {coordinated by my dear dear friend Jenn Yamauchi} is sure to be amazing!

Phoebe and Min will be getting married in China, but wanted to do some bridal portraits in LA beforehand. I was so happy they mentioned shooting at the Pasadena City Hall as its one of my very favorite places for photos – it always promises beautiful soft light, dreamy pastel colors, and during this time of year, opulent pink roses wherever you look :) Min and Phoebe both have such sweet and warm personalities and arrived with so much enthusiasm for the session – I feel so lucky to have been able to document a snippet of their story together! :)

A vibrant wedding with a whimsical “In the Clouds” theme!

Anita and Eric had an intimate church ceremony in Pasadena, with portraits at the stunning city hall, followed by a lively reception on the rooftop of the minimalist Pasadena Museum of California Art. Billy balls, clouds, bright yellow lanterns perfectly complemented their heavenly theme. This wedding just felt so playful and laidback from beginning to end and I had SO much fun shooting it – which makes sense when you’re working with such a sweet creative couple like Anita & Eric and a killer team of vendors led by none other than Uyen from Sassy Girl Weddings!
