What a beautiful wedding to start off this wedding season! Brooke & Tim’s wedding had all the makings of a perfect day – the picturesque hills of Sonoma, a gathering of excited family & friends, pretty spring blooms, handmade touches, and a bride and groom that were just so in love. It was addressed throughout the day how they fit together so well – how Brooke’s bubbly personality and infectious laugh were just the perfect complement to Tim’s calm and cool demeanor. Hearing their heartfelt vows, watching them share a quiet laugh together during the reception, seeing their tears during the first look, proved this to be so true.

It had been raining for a week straight in the bay area leading up to their wedding and it poured the day after, but the skies were clear and the weather was beautiful for their wedding. It was the loveliest day!

When we were brainstorming locations for the session, Samantha and Paul sent me some ideas they had for spots around where they lived in nor cal. When I looked up Rancho San Antonio and spotted that big gorgeous tree, I knew we had to shoot there! The cherry on top was this park also happened to be where Paul proposed to Samantha. Picturesque backdrops + special memories is the magical formula for a perfect engagement session location!

So happy to have been able to travel up to nor cal to photograph these two!

What is it that is so magical about San Francisco? I love visiting this city, dining, exploring, relaxing, and of course shooting there. This session was such a fun mix of their beautiful light-filled loft {in a historic building that used to be a brewery!} and the prettiness that is Crissy Field.

The weather was perfect (how do I get so lucky almost every time I’m up there??) and I loved every minute of this session!
